Isn’t She Huetiful?

Well, readers, it’s that time of year again. As many of you know, I try to splurge on one special present for myself every holiday season. (These are the types of things that us women who are all alone in the world single do.)

Last year it was my gorgeous Sony Handycam. This year’s obsession is the Huetiful Hair Steamer.

According to its website, the Huetiful Hair Steamer has three main benefits:

  1. Restores moisture to your dry hair 5x better than deep conditioners or hair treatments alone
  2. Opens up your hair cuticle to allow your conditioners and hair treatments to work more effectively
  3. Bathes your hair follicle with warm, ionized mist to replenish moisture lost from chemical or heat treatments

I’ve watched countless YouTube videos and read numerous blogs about this steamer; the overwhelming majority highly recommend it.

You can watch an interview with founder Ken Burkeen here.

So this is my official plea to Santa. If you’re somewhere reading this, I have but one humble request: Hook a sista up!

NHBG readers, what hair items are on your holiday wish list?

  2. i entered the contest on huetiful.com for this, but more so as a gift for one of my natural friends or a giveaway, or something. my stylist steams me monthly, and that’s all i really need.

all i want for christmas is a urban decay eyeshadow palette and a new camera, something better than my current one but not any more than $300. with all this overtime i’ve been working, i better get both. :)

I want this too! I don’t really have anything that I desperately want for my hair…although a heat conditioning cap would be nice…and an FHI flat iron…and some flexi rods. Ok I lied, lol.

I’ve always wondered what it would be like to use those things! Not sure if I’d put it on my wish list or use it anytime soon (i’m content with doing just hot olive oil treatments), but it sure is tempting…lol.

  5. I have been thinking about a splurge for my 10-year natural anniversary (on Thanksgiving), but I can’t think of anything that I want.
