She’s beautiful! I know it was probably hard to cut all that hair off, but it’s refreshing to have a new start that parallels with your life.

Hey, great interview. You both have such beautiful looking skin in video. Jacelyn really knows how to rock short hair. I need some of her confidence haha!

I can relate to her journey as well, perhaps not spiritually but as Kiki mentioned hair as an outer form can really express how you feel on the inside. I like that :)

Let me start by saying that, that was an awesome interview. I’ve been considering going natural for about a year now, and when I seen your locs, they were gorgeous and, I knew I had to grow some. Just have to lose the relaxer first. You are so right in saying it is who we are and it is our crown, why run from it? A lot of that, I believe, is from the influence of other races…sort of like the light skin vs. dark skin debate. Change is good in most instances, and timing is always key and essential to change. You’ve always come across as a very spiritual person, to me, and always had the potential and drive to succeed, congratulations on that and, on your natural journey. We are who we are and, we need to accept that and, one way of doing so is embracing our natural hair. It’s beautiful and, we are the only people on this planet with it which is frightening to some people. We were not made from fear, as you stated, and we need to stop living in fear of our natural hair. Good luck with your upcoming project and future projects. I hope that I can have the chance to see the finished project, and, thanks for the hair tips, Peace!

    • Thanks so much for dropping by, Raycene. It sounds like you were touched by Jacelyn’s story, as was I. It’s more than “just hair” to her; her crown is spiritually connected to her. It was cool to interview someone with that out look about her hair.

She’s a great spirit. Be sure to swing by her Facebook and keep in touch.
