My Summertime Routine

summertime routineIf you follow NHBG, you know I’m not much for elaborate routines. And although I vowed to try new products this summer, I must admit I’ve been sticking to a select few.

The main changes are that I’ve temporarily stopped separating my roots for the health of my hair and I’m washing more often, about once every 3-4 days on average.

I’m really liking my Sofn’free Gro Healthy Sulfate-Free 2-in-1 Conditioning Shampoo. I use this and follow with my regular Suave conditioner.

While my hair is still wet, I rub in my beloved Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave-In, then I seal with Sheabutter Cottage Organic Argan Oil. (This stuff is great. Stay tuned for my review.) And, as usual, I air-dry. No heat at all, especially now that it’s warm out.

Overall my hair’s doing well. My thin dreads are joining up, and I’ll be doing lots of combining within the next month or two. Join my email list for the latest updates.

Since I cut my hair, my routine has been pretty simple. I’ve been sticking with a wash and go. So easy in the summer.

Don’t you just love natural hair? The upkeep is so simple if you just allow it to be.

      Thanks for dropping by, sis.
