My One Natural Hair Resolution For The New Year

One natural hair goal

If you’ve been following me for a while, then you know how I feel about New Year’s resolutions.

They suck.

Or rather, I suck because I can never keep them.

Every year around this time I also come up with a list of goals that I want to accomplish with my hair for the upcoming year.

“I’m gonna start rocking headwraps.” “I need to deep condition more.” “I’m gonna learn a new hairstyle every month.”

And every year I play myself because I never follow through.

So this year I have just one hair goal.

Y’all know that buns give me life. Big buns, small buns, nappy buns, straight buns, high buns, low buns…I love them all.

To me, it’s almost the perfect hairstyle.

So my one hair goal for 2013 is to perfect my bun.

Totally doable, right? #famouslastwords

My one hair goal is to have fun with my hair lol. That’s a cop out because I do that anyway. But yes, a bun is totally doable 🙂

Well, you could also argue that a bun is a cop out. I mean, it’s just doing your hair lol

Excellent goal. When we first go natural a lot of us get caught up in the excitement. We want to try every style, technique, and product on the market.

I’m all about less is more, especially in the early stages. Give your hair time to “settle” and yourself time to learn your natural hair.
