Taste of Soul takes place annually in Los Angeles during the month of October.
As the city’s largest street fair, it features a taste of all things “soulful,” including food from local restaurants, live entertainment, displays from local artists, and exhibits from local businesses and organizations.
This year it was held October 20th. As you can see by the pictures, the threat of impending rain didn’t affect turnout.
I saw all types of interesting and talented street performers, including a violinist rocking Alicia Keys and a…um…tree man (?)
His outfit had me stumped. *cue laugh track*
After walking for a while, you could stop for a game of chess.
And, of course, there was beautiful hair everywhere. Here’s a small sample of the drool-worthy natural heads I saw:
